About the network
The West Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (WMAAN) is the regional arm of the national Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (AAN). We are a collective of passionate employers, apprentices, educators, and advocates who volunteer our time to promote apprenticeships across the West Midlands.
Our vision is simple to empower West Midlands businesses and current apprentices to champion apprenticeships, create opportunities, and inspire future workforces.
We are one of 9 regions across the UK.
What We Do
WMAAN champions apprenticeships through positive storytelling, outreach, and collaboration. Our Ambassadors share their real experiences in schools, colleges, with SMEs, at careers events, online, and within their own sectors — helping to raise awareness and break down outdated perceptions.
We support:
- Employers in showcasing the benefits of hiring apprentices
- Apprentices and former apprentices in sharing their journeys
- Educators and influencers in engaging young people and career switchers
- The wider region in building a stronger, skills-based economy
Together, we amplify the power of apprenticeships and help individuals of all ages and backgrounds realise what’s possible.
