Become an employer ambassador
Why become an ambassador?
Becoming an Employer Ambassador gives employers a powerful platform to showcase their commitment to developing talent, supporting the region, and shaping the future workforce. As an ambassador, you’ll share your success stories, inspire other businesses to invest in apprenticeships, and help raise awareness of the real benefits apprentices bring. It’s also a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded organisations, influence policy, and strengthen your brand as a forward-thinking, people-focused employer.
What will it involve?
As an Employer Ambassador, your role is flexible and designed to fit around your business. It may involve sharing your apprenticeship journey at events or in case studies, engaging with local schools or careers fairs, supporting other employers who are new to apprenticeships, or contributing to regional meetings and campaigns. You’ll be part of a supportive network, with access to ready-made resources, guidance, and opportunities to amplify your voice. Whether you get involved online or in person, your experience can help inspire real change.

Real stories from the West Midlands
Tino Mumvuri
“For National Apprenticeship Week I got to visit Parliament and meet some of the MPs. It gave me a good opportunity to network and meet people. I am currently working on Valhalla, which has been enjoyable. I have also had the chance to go out and visit schools in the local area and chat with other people of similar age about my experience here at Aston. I find there is not a huge gap between senior management and myself, making it feel like a close and personal place to work.”
Degree Apprentice - Aston Martin
Madison Cooney
“I have seen improvement in my observational skills, particularly for small details when examining devices for damage. I have also grown in confidence and in my abilities to disassemble and reassemble devices of different types. This apprenticeship and workplace is ideal for people who might be uneasy about stricter environments. It’s relaxed and supportive and has helped me gain confidence in my abilities to build a career in technical support. Despite my aversion to more education this job description caught my attention and seemed to be what I was really looking for.”
Digital Device Repair Tech Apprentice
Adam Ellis
““I’m proud when I look back at my career journey, starting with my apprenticeship. Observing and learning the company’s key processes from the outset gave me knowledge and confidence to speak to customers and instil confidence in them that we can provide solutions and partner them. I recently spoke in front of an audience of 600 at an apprenticeship ceremony. I must admit it was scary, but if I can inspire others to seize on the opportunities an apprenticeship offers like I have, then it’s got to be worth it.”
