Become an apprentice ambassador
Why become an ambassador?
Becoming an Apprentice Ambassador gives you a unique opportunity to share your story, inspire others, and help change perceptions about apprenticeships. As an ambassador, you’ll show how apprenticeships can build skills, open doors, and create real career pathways. Your experience can encourage young people, peers, and employers to see apprenticeships as a valuable choice, helping to shape the future workforce and support your community.
What will it involve?
As an Apprentice Ambassador, your role is flexible and designed to fit around your apprenticeship and personal commitments. It might include sharing your journey at schools, careers events, or online; helping to promote apprenticeships through videos or articles; supporting other apprentices just starting out; or contributing your ideas at meetings and campaigns. You’ll join a welcoming network, with access to resources and guidance to help you confidently share your story and make a real impact.
"Being an ambassador has given me the chance to show others what apprenticeships are really about — it’s more than just learning, it’s about building your future."

Real stories from the West Midlands
Tino Mumvuri
“For National Apprenticeship Week I got to visit Parliament and meet some of the MPs. It gave me a good opportunity to network and meet people. I am currently working on Valhalla, which has been enjoyable. I have also had the chance to go out and visit schools in the local area and chat with other people of similar age about my experience here at Aston. I find there is not a huge gap between senior management and myself, making it feel like a close and personal place to work.”
Degree Apprentice - Aston Martin
Madison Cooney
“I have seen improvement in my observational skills, particularly for small details when examining devices for damage. I have also grown in confidence and in my abilities to disassemble and reassemble devices of different types. This apprenticeship and workplace is ideal for people who might be uneasy about stricter environments. It’s relaxed and supportive and has helped me gain confidence in my abilities to build a career in technical support. Despite my aversion to more education this job description caught my attention and seemed to be what I was really looking for.”
Digital Device Repair Tech Apprentice

““I’m proud when I look back at my career journey, starting with my apprenticeship. Observing and learning the company’s key processes from the outset gave me knowledge and confidence to speak to customers and instil confidence in them that we can provide solutions and partner them. I recently spoke in front of an audience of 600 at an apprenticeship ceremony. I must admit it was scary, but if I can inspire others to seize the opportunities an apprenticeship offers like I have, then it’s got to be worth it.”
